Did Anybody Prophesy this!!!

Our head of state Hon. Mwai Kibaki does it again. The country was shocked to hear that the President had gladly given himself a hefty send of package at the expense of the MP's who had proposed it in the first place.

Apparently, the MP's had awarded themselves millions of tax payers money and other hefty perks such as state funerals, which they were to receive upon retirement from service. This to be exact is the second time they have attempted such a daring greedy feat.

The first came at a time that the country was struggling with several of the Public workforce was on the streets demanding better pay. Unfortunately, the government claimed to lack money to sustain such demands and some went back to work empty handed, and others went back to work only to be denied a months salary. To add insult to injury, there was suddenly enough funds to cater for salary increments and the lot for our MP's.

Thankfully the President came to our rescue and rejected the bill, saving our fast dying economy managing just to pull it out of the garbage in time.

This time round he did not disappoint either. It seemed that this time round our Honorable members had a plan to see the Bill passed. My thought is that they included an appealing send of package for the President which would 'ignite' his desire to grant them their wish.

None of them would have ever, in a million years anticipated such a reply to their cheeky approach. Mr. President in his wise age granted himself a well deserved send-off package and rejected the MP's proposal. To be honest, I have never been so proud of my President.

As I always tell you my fellow readers, the country is experiencing the dawning of a new era. We want leaders we can trust, those who will not fuel ethnicity through hate speech. We want a safe country for the period of time we have on this God given earth.
